Privacy policy
This policy explains how Cedarwave Labs' SortZing Android game handles information. Contact support@cedarwavelabs.ca for support, privacy questions or rights requests.
Local gameplay and progress
SortZing stores puzzle layouts, move history, completed levels, best move counts, active play time and settings in the app's private storage on your device. Gameplay works offline. SortZing has no player accounts, cloud synchronization, server backend or active analytics/crash reporting service. We do not receive your puzzle history or progress. Android app backup is disabled for this release.
Local data remains until you clear SortZing's app data in Android Settings or uninstall it. Clearing data removes local progress. SortZing does not request contacts, camera, microphone, location, notifications or broad file storage permissions.
Closed testing and advertising
The version 1.0.0 closed-testing configuration disables advertising and does not initialize the Google Mobile Ads or consent SDK, request ads or send gameplay events to an analytics provider. The app contains the Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform libraries for future advertising configurations. Automatic ad SDK initialization is removed from the Android manifest.
In an advertising-enabled configuration, Google AdMob and applicable advertising partners may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device or advertising identifiers, app interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention. We will update this policy and the store disclosures before enabling production advertising. Google's Mobile Ads SDK disclosure and privacy policy explain its processing. Google states that SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Advertising choices when enabled
Advertising-enabled builds request updated consent status at launch, present a Google consent form where required and configured, and request ads only when Google's consent SDK permits them. Settings provides Privacy options when required. Puzzles remain available regardless of consent or ad availability. Rewarded hints are optional and free undo and restart remain available. Android privacy settings also offer advertising identifier controls, varying by device and version.
Support correspondence
Choosing Contact support opens your email app. If you send a message, we receive the email address, content and any attachments you choose to share. We use these to answer your request and diagnose problems. SortZing does not automatically attach puzzle saves or diagnostics. Ask us by email to delete support correspondence, subject to applicable legal retention obligations.
Audience and security
SortZing is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not marketed to children under 13. Game data is stored in Android's private app sandbox. No account is needed. Support email and third-party services handle information according to their own service security and privacy practices.
Changes and contact
